In view of the rapid industrial growth, Polytechnics have to redefine themselves and should come with shoulder to shoulder with each other and stand shoulder to shoulder with the industry. We must keep a lap with the industrial growth and a close interaction with the industry to develop status thereby assuming the role of instructor to the industry to develop human resources which is compatible to today’s world growing needs. Gone are the days of chalk and dust. We show technology and ask students to make it suitable to growing needs of human kinds. We show technology and teach to work with own hands. Such a work culture has to be developed. Labs and Workshops have to be research oriented. We need to perform things in labs, instead of doing spoon feeding. A level needs to be attained where people from all over the world should look at us as an image building factor.
